The information is arranged alphabetically by town and includes the name of the establishment or business owner, the type of business, the estimated wealth of the business and its general credit rating. The information is useful for historical and genealogical research in the state. Each edition includes towns large and small throughout the entire state. The 1871 edition does not include New York City, however the other 4 editions do include it. The 1871 edition was produced without a map of the state, but the other 4 editions include maps.
Each edition was pulled from a larger publication which included a number of Title pages / Key information, etc, and sections dedicated to a specific state. The original title pages are NOT included, but a clear copy of each page will be provided along with the original state sections for NY.
