CANYON OF DECISION

by Peg Granger

New York: Criterion, (1967).

First edition, first printing.

Enhanced with wrap-around jacket art by Jo Polseno.

Granger garnered numerous accolades for her young adult books and is a California native.

This wonderful story features Jo Scott, who went with the 'In' crowd in a San Francisco high school, and did some dangerous car drag racing down steep and hilly streets, almost killing herself and an old man.

The confused and hostile teenager is sent to her uncle, a forest ranger in a remote part of the California mountains.

Only when she is forced to think about and help other people, does she begin to grow up
, and fall in love.

Small, faint impression to upper edge of front end-paper, else fine in yellow linen with green embossed titles to the front cover and to the spine; in a near fine dust jacket with a hint of rubbing and a few minuscule tears to the upper and lower spine edges; original $3.95 printed price still intact to the front inner flap.

Quite nice and presentable.
