#8 in the Tom Swift Jr. series. Grosset and Dunlap hardcover publication. Copyright 1956. Printed around 1959. Author "Victor Appleton II." Victor Appleton the first was the Stratemeyer Syndicate pen name for the initial Tom Swift series.
Pretty good blue tweed book with sturdy spine and hinges. Blue and white space lab endpapers. "100100" designation on upper right corner of dust jacket front flap. Some spine slant. Ownership label on free front endpaper. Prior owner's name on pre-frontispiece title page, but no other writing/markings.
Fair to good dust jacket that's intact, but has a 2-1/2" tear on rear, large chip at front near spine and considerable wear/tears at front top. Both flaps are glued to the book. Pretext titles and rear flap list to #13 Space Solartron (1958), and the dust jacket rear lists to Hardy Boys Mystery at Devil's Paw (1959), and therefore the print run year is estimated at 1958 or 1959.
Slight soiling on side and bottom page blocks (see picture).
