Vintage original 19 in x 27 in. (48.2 x 68.6 cm.) Italian photobusta poster from the classic 1950's family secrets drama, EAST OF EDEN, released in 1955 by Warner Bros. and directed by Elia Kazan. Based upon the novel by John Steinbeck, two brothers in 1910's California struggle to maintain their strict, Bible-toting father's favor as an old secret about their long-absent mother comes to light. The cast includes Julie Harris, James, Dean, Raymond Massey, Burl Ives, Richard Davalos, Jo Van Fleet, and Lois Smith
The image features two color scenes from the film depicting James Dean, Julie Harris, and Richard Davalos (AKA Dick Davalos) along with an image of Raymond Massey. The artwork at the left features an image that was on all of the American posters as well. Unrestored and folded as originally issued, it is in very good+ to near-fine condition with a vertical crease down the center and small surface creaes, simply from handling over time. There are random signs of wear along the edges and on the corners. The rich color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading.
