Additional Details ------------------------------ Product description: Vinyl LP Record Set in publisher's decorated box. 1977, Candlelite Music, 3-record set, in paper sleeves, in deluxe box stamped in silver, with pictorials. Denim-like finish to packaging. Candlelite, during the 1970s, offered sets of records featuring various country artists, sold through the mail, on TV, and through the use of magazine / newspaper ads. They selected country performers of wide appeal. Here are 5 cuts per side, 30 performances in all, in this nicely packaged box, featuring 3 LP records. This particular collection features the great Chet Atkins and Floyd Cramer. Atkins, with his smooth guitar style, influenced generations of country pickers. His well produced Nashville product included everything from huge orchestras to quiet moments with the genius showing what his particular instrument was all about. Pianist Floyd Cramer influenced the country sound in Nashville in the 50's, 60's, and 70's, featuring a slip-note style that became a trademark of Cramer. In the 1960's, he recorded a series of "Class" albums of various years, with full orchestras, Anita Kerr, and--yes--a guy named Atkins often on guitar. These RCA geniuses are simply splendid.
