Beautiful hand painted Narumi Occupied Japan round serving platter with tab handles in the discontinued Laurel pattern.  This pattern has gold rings and trim with black leaf and scroll designs on a cream background.

This hard-to-find vintage serving platter measures 10-3/4 inches in diameter from handle to handle. The bottom is stamped in red with Holly China, Narumi, Occupied Japan, Laurel, Hand Painted.

This platter is in like-new condition with no chips or cracks.  There is, however, a light circle mark about 1-1/2 inches in diameter that is on the inner area of the platter.  When the platter is held at a certain angle, it can be seen but is not objectionable nor does it detract from the beauty of this piece.  Since the platter appears to be unused, the mark might be from the manufacturing process.

This is a lovely serving piece for your dining table or a great addition to a Narumi Laurel collection or an Occupied Japan collection.
