Very much in the style of Moebius -- this is one of the projects upon which I worked at Eclipse in 1988, as Staff Editor.  The original European graphic novel was written in French, which was then translated into English "balloons" that technically needed to be simply "pasted in."  But some of the translations made no sense, and needed to be tweaked.  A few punctuation errors needed to be repaired, as well; but the major problem was the manner in which the English text had been handwritten for the "pasting in" process:  the individual who had handwritten the text had added long, thin lines along the tops or bottoms of initial words in each balloon, and had also not differentiated between the upper case "I" (with lines at top and bottom), and the lower case "i".  These latter two problems bothered my Editor-In-Chief cat yronwode tremendously; and she instructed me to add top and bottom lines to all the upper case "I" words, and to "white out" all the extraneous lines trailing from initial words.  After a few days working on this project, I had only finished a few of the 48 pages that needed to be changed; and cat could not understand why it was taking so long -- she told me that I should have had it finished off within 4 HOURS!  I was becoming rather frustrated with her impatience, as I also had other responsibilities in the office (I was also the Office Manager); but the Publisher (and cat's husband) Dean Mullaney came to my rescue, and explained to cat that she had previously given very firm instructions regarding how she wanted the finished product to look, and that it was, indeed, quite time-consuming and challenging.  Dean overruled cat; and I finally finished the project two weeks later, for which Dean decided that I should finally receive a listing credit on the left inside front cover -- and there it is!
