==========This true tropical tree is one of the most unusual trees on earth and if found as a native in hot, dry regions of the African desert. This tree has a long life and is highly prized as an ornamental tropical as well as making the most perfect bonsai work of art. Twisted branches rest atop the elephant like trunk that stores water and is considered the largest succulent in existence. Despite growing in arid regions the plant is actually sensitive to drought and should be watered as a tropical allowing the soil to dry between waterings. Zone 10 or above as a standard outdoor tree. Needs at least six hours of sun per day. This makes a terrific potted plant! Cannot tolerate frost. Seed needs to be scarified - see grow sheet for instructions.
