Vinyl plays with crackles and a few light-clicks (play-graded). Textured cover looks great; a few creases near edges; moderate scuffing and discoloration spots (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (textured with photos/lyrics/credits). Spine is easy-to-read with mild-wear. Minor shelf-wear along top-edge; heavier wear along bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Fantasy, by American singer-songwriter Carole King, reached number 6 on the Billboard album chart, and has remained highly regarded by her fans over the ensuing decades. Presented as a sort of song cycle, the album opens and closes with two versions of the title song and the songs on each side segue directly into one another. Fantasy was the first album to break the immediately recognizable, cozy sound set by Writer and made definitive by Tapestry. In the place of the warm, spare tones was a polished, soulful production. You've Been Around Too Long comes off as subtle and accomplished, especially with David T. Walker's great guitar work. Believe in Humanity and Corazon were top 40 hits.
