THE BOSS OF THE LAZY 9 & HELL'S CORNER                        by Peter Field                                                                                Pocket Books & Bantam Books, 1st pb printings, 1950                Condition: Near Very Good                                                                                                                                                           Two vintage paperback weterns (first published in hardback under different titles) by Peter Field ( a pen name for Davis Dresser, who also wrote many of the Mike Shayne novels under the name Brett Halliday).   BOSS has modest edge wear along cover/spine bottom, light reading crease, light corner moisture curling at top on a number of pages.  CORNER has wear along spine and at spine ends,  1 cover and 2 page corner creases, other light corner/edge wear, slight spine slant, moderate page toning.  Both books have secure bindings with intact cover lamination and no writing or markings.
