This plate was made at the end of the first World War. January 1920 Versailles Peace. It is in perfect condition, without any cracks or chips. This plate is depicted in the book Royal Delft, a Guide to Porceleyne Fles on page 137. It is estimated by him at $ 125,-. Diameter 18 cm – 7.2 inches
The Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) is the last surviving earthenware factory from the 17th century in Delft. The factory began producing in 1653 and became quickly one of the most important pottery factory’s in the Netherlands. The world known logo (little bottle be was used for the first time in 1697. In the 18th century it went downhill with the pottery industry due to foreign competitors with newer techniques and better materials.
