✅ Up for sale one Persimmon tree - IMOTO FUYU  (non astringent) 2-3 ft tall #5 pot Diospyros kaki.  Shipping Note: Due to strict Agricultural Laws in place, we currently cannot ship to the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii. We cannot ship to Puerto Rico or international. USDA zones 7 - 9.

✅ Considered an heirloom tree, the Imoto Persimmon is a juicy, sweet, non-astringent fruit that has a mellow, cantaloupe-like flavor. Delicious fresh off the tree in the crisp stage or when allowed to soften. The Imoto persimmon tree has a smaller maturity height (average about 10-12 feet) and the beautiful fall foliage makes Imoto a nice ornamental. Imoto Fuyu asian persimmon is a selection that came from the late Mike Imoto of Lindsay, California.

✅ Imoto Fuyu is very similar to Jiro persimmons except that the fruit is a little larger and ripens 7-10 days earlier, making it a good choice for cooler climates. We graft the Imoto Fuyu persimmon onto native American persimmon root stock. USDA ZONES: Zone 7, Zone 8, Zone 9

✅ Plant persimmon trees in full sun to partial shade and in moist, well-drained soil. Water regularly after planting, until tree is established. Persimmon trees need about 40 inches of water every year. Persimmons only need pruning if limbs are crossing each other or dry.

✅ During hot/cold weather, we ship plants only to California, Oregon and Washington unless you wish to ship FedEx 2day, which is very expensive for large packages. You will receive a tracking number when your order ships, whether it ships UPS, FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. Most items ship via FedEx Home Delivery, and that allows for Saturday deliveries to residential addresses when we ship your items on Mondays.
