Obverse: The phrase "Estados Unidos Mexicanos" on top around  the rim above a Mexican eagle standling on a prickly pear cactus devouring a rattlesnake. At the base of the cactus, there is a holm oak branch on 1 side and a laurel branch on the other.

Reverse: Denomination over the cent symbol and year on top. Surrounded by a wreath and the mintmark below.
