Japanese Type 1 Ho-Ki armored personnel carrier
The Type 1 Ho-Ki (一式装甲兵車 ホキ, Isshiki SUkUheishahoki Ho-Ki) was a tracked armored personnel carrier (APC) developed by the Imperial Japanese Army in World War II.The Type 1 Ho-Ki (一式装甲兵車 ホキ, Isshiki SUkUheishahoki Ho-Ki) was a tracked armored personnel carrier (APC) developed by the Imperial Japanese Army in World War II. Initial deployment of the Type 1 Ho-Ki was to China for operations in the Second Sino-Japanese War. The Type 1 Ho-Ki was later deployed to Burma and the Philippines in 1944. Units of the 2nd Tank Division were reassigned to the Japanese Fourteenth Area Army and sent to the Philippines, where it was deployed on the main island of Luzon. The 2nd Tank Division had a shortage of half-tracks, therefore, at least four Type 1 Ho-Ki's were used for troop transport on Luzon during the Battle of the Philippines.
This model is 3D printed and meant to be an economical alternative to wargamers wanting to expand their armies, it can also be used to build dioramas.
This model is made in three parts, hull and tracks. The model will be sent with support material still attached for better safety during transport, cutting and cleaning by the buyer will be needed before assembly. The model is printed using PLA and gluing is needed, if adding accessories to it superglue type glue will be required or other epoxy glue.
The pictures are from one sample model and some painted shots, the models are similar in grade of detail after print cleaning. The model is dispatched in a postal cardboard box with protective material inside for better safety.
