RARE 1887 Authentic Victorian textured 15k solid gold panel with chain and fob charm Enamel or Mosaic bracelet!!

the links/panels are highly ornate and the flowers are colored by something similar to enamel, but most likely mosaic like substance because it looks thicker than enamel and there is no loss of it ( usually enamel shows some loss in areas in such an antique items).

in great original antique condition! no damage! can be worn or gifted immediately. clasp and safety chain work well!. the bracelet displays age patina on the back which was not removed (I try to sell items in their original condition); can be removed by new owner if desired .

the bracelet approx 7” when clasped please see photo with the ruler.

on the clasp marked Pat pending 87- for 1887. please see photo. it is SOLID gold with approx 14k 15k purity - yellow gold.

a little info about patent pending from popular sources:

also please see last photos of screenshots from “guide” that patenting started as early as in Georgian period. and once the patent is approved the jewelry producer would stamp the number on the jewelry. in case of this bracelet the patent was still pending so there is no number.

At one time, jewelry designs could not be copyrighted, so jewelry manufacturers protected their investment in their designs using patents. This process could sometimes take months, so once the patent design and specifications were submitted, companies would mark their jewelry “PAT. PEND.” or “DESIGN PAT. PEND.” (sometimes “DES. PAT. PEND.”) to indicate that the patent had been submitted and was pending approval. Once the patent was approved, companies could then stamp the patent number on the jewelry.
