Description
This is a wonderful souvenir mug from the Normandy Inn at Carmel-by-the-Sea.
Charming blue and white line drawing of the Inn, with lots of whimsical details, such as a cat on the front porch, squirrels, birds, inn guests, and of course, the ocean and sailboats.
Around the bottom rim, there is script text, which reads, "Experience a Tradition in Charming Accomidations (sic), Carmel by the Sea's Normandy Inn, Corner of Ocean and Monte Verde."
No markings on the bottom.
It reminds me of a Bruce E. Hart-type illustration, but it is unsigned.
Excellent condition. No damage, from a smoke-free home.
4" tall, 3" in diameter at the top.
About 4 1/2" wide including handle.
