Amish Pie Winter Squash (Cucurbita maxima), which by its name, is an excellent choice for pies and baking. Introduced in 1999 by Amish gardeners in Maryland, this particular variety can grow to be 60-80 lbs, but on average they will grow to be 25-40 lbs. White to pale-green exterior, even sometimes light-orange, the interior is very thick and meaty with a pale-orange color
