Very interesting copy of the January 1951 Federal Old-Age and Survivors Insurance Guide Book to Social Security - OASI-35.

This 5" by 3-5/8" book has 47 pages of information, rules and regulations relating to everything people needed to know about Social Security back in 1951.  

Can you imagine?  Earnings from employment or self-employment up to $3,600 a year were subject to the social security tax.  And, the maximum monthly payment to a family was $150 per month.  Interesting facts and figures!

Aside from minor damage on the front cover edge from age and handling, page yellowing and some foxing from age, this book is in good vintage condition.
