THE PALACE

"Greater Nashville's Greatest Store"

Corner Summer And Union Streets

BUSINESS/TRADE CARD

Summer Street was renamed 5th Avenue (now Rep John Lewis) in 1904-5.

The Palace building was gutted by a fire in 1905 along with the Manix building, both being two of the most popular department stores in downtown Nashville at the time.  I cannot find any record of The Palace ever re-opening after the fire.

My guess is this is from the 1901-1905 era due to the 4 digit phone number being in the 4000s range.

Card has some names written in pencil on the back.

A RARE PIECE OF NASHVILLE HISTORY!
