Cayenne Long Red Thin (Capsicum annuum) is an extremely hot pepper that registers between 30,000 - 50,000 SHU on the Scoville scale. These peppers will mature to be long, red, twisty and between 5-6" in length. Excellent for drying and using as a ground up spice. Cayenne peppers are generally up to 12 times hotter than a jalapeno pepper. Be sure to handle with rubber gloves
