This is a 3d printed PLASTIC REPRODUCTION PDF M52 mortar fuse. This is not now nor has it ever been a functioning destructive device, nor does it contain any authentic parts.
This is a M52 P.D.F that fits the 1.5” Mortar body threads used with the 60mm and 81mm mortars.
The M52 is a Super Quick Fuse, used to detonate the round on impact. This reproduction comes in 3 variations. The third, and what this sale is for, is the semi functioning Cut Away with removable mechanism parts fuse.
This is a living model, printed in silver plastic with coper colored screw mechanisms which CAN be removed.
This is a 95% accurate model of the original functioning fuse. It has been modified to conform to the limitations of 3d printing and real world applications.
Mortar fuse body threads are accurate, some parts have oversized threads. This is partial due to limits with 3d printers, and for ease of assembly and disassemble, no tools required( a penny or coin does help, but is not necessary).
This fuse has a removable head, primary safety wire, safety pin release, and an arming slide. The "Booster Cup" has a simulated accelerant which is non flammable and non toxic.
Sale is for 1 (One) complete fuse, comes with spare parts and reassembly instructions.
To demonstrate( play with) this model please wear safety glasses, there is 1 spring that can be ejected with force. Start by simply removing the "Primary safety pin"( be gently and careful, this is not spring steel, it may be sharp, and it may need to be reformed in order to reassemble if deformed during disassembly). Start by unscrewing the large " Slide" screw 1 turn counter clockwise. Gently pull out the small "Safety Pin" on the side of fuse, the pin will release the "Slide", then push the slide into the center of the fuse, effectively arming the fuse. The "Striker Cap" can now be depressed to simulate ground target contact and detonate the round.
To reassemble, reverse the above instruction and play with it again.
If you plan to "Demonstrate" (play) with this fuse a lot, take care as the parts are very small and can get lost VERY easily. Also, they are plastic DO NOT FORCE THEM.
Mortar body not included. Final picture is for reference only, not included in sale.
