DETAILS
Does your black GM Delco radio have worn buttons that leave your stereo looking shabby? If so, this could be the listing for you. This is a new radio face, loaded with all the knobs and buttons. It has never been installed in a vehicle, so it has zero wear!
This works on Delco manufactured radios only. Not all LAN radios were manufactured by Delco and there is no way to tell them apart without removing your radio and checking the sticker for the manufacturer. Having said that, Delco radios are known for horrible button wear problems. If yours has button wear, it's probably a Delco. However, do NOT assume you have a Delco manufactured radio simply because you have a GM vehicle or a radio with wear. Since returns are not accepted, it's better to be safe than sorry. Pull your radio and check your part number sticker for the manufacturer.
Radios with this same basic face were offered in car, truck and van applications. This is the black version. Other colors were offered, including dark gray. This will obviously stand out in your vehicle if you do not currently have a black face. You could remove the buttons from it and swap them into your radio to reduce the effect but it will be two-tone then.
*Even though this does not have the LOAD button, this also works on CD6 radios. You'll either have to use your LOAD button or know that you press the button with the clock symbol to load CDs after installing this.
**This particular version of the face was offered on radios with a white display. Consequently the lens has a slight purplish hue. This will probably change your display color a little bit. If it bothers you, you can always pull all the new buttons out of this face and swap them to yours. But please note that the buttons themselves were back-lit red on the original radio for this face. This means they have a different color coating on the back side than some other GM radios. Consequently it may have a different appearance than your current radio at night.
Again, not all applications had the Delco version. Just because they look identical from the face does not mean they are designed the same internally, including the back side of the buttons, where they need to make contact with your board. To be safe you need to check the manufacturer listed on your part number sticker. You will need to remove your radio to do this. If you are unsure, please call us with the radio out and in your hands. Do not purchase without confirming your manufacturer first!!
Installation is fairly easy, but we do not include instructions. You shouldn't be working on radios if you're not qualified or experienced.
APPLICATIONS
A known compatible CD radio part number is 20834563, but other numbers are possible. Again, there are slight cosmetic differences. Read the asterisked (* and **) paragraphs in the DETAILS section for more info. Please email BEFORE purchasing if you have questions.
