The New Orleans style rope doll is created from sticks formed in a cross, bound with jute twine, and formed with layers of twine and yarn. Green and gold are associated with good fortune, money, and abundance. Several aspects of this doll increase it’s vibratory influence. The face of the doll is a faux coin, and is decorated with cowrie shells (an ancient form of currency), and a feather.
