The Emperor's New Clothes Classic Paperback Book by Hans Christian Anderson 1995
Six enchanting stories that speak to young and old.
Hans Christian Andersen was born in Odense, Denmark, in 1805, the ambitious son of a shoemaker.
He aspired to a career on the stage, and one of the directors of the Royal Court Theatre funded his education. His first volume of stories appeared in 1835.
Andersen's worldwide fame rests almost entirely on his fairy tales, which are classics in many countries.
Some of the tales are historical, others are based on Danish folktales, but most are his own invention.
