They were mad, of course, these young airmen, held in an arctic prison of ice, without women and without release -- and harassed night and day by a sadistic enemy.

So they stole the bomb, the big one, to get it over with -- the war the whole world was screaming about, the last war to end wars -- and the end of the world with it.

Book is in acceptable condition. General shelf and corner wear. Cover fraying along the edges. Some white marks on front and back cover. Light staining on the interior and exterior. Spine has some issues (See photo #3) Cover creasing. Some scrapes on the front and back cover. Previous owner wrote in the upper left on the inside front cover. A solid reading copy.
