Henry Krips, born in Vienna in 1914, composer and brother of Josef Krips, has lived in Australia since 1938, where he was the conductor of the South Australian Symphony Orchestra. During periodic visits to London he has conducted the Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic, and the B.B.C. Concert Orchestras. He has also recorded for Angel Records Six Waltes by Emile Waldteufel (Angel 35426).
The year of the recording is unknown (not mentioned on cover and/or record) but I place it to late 40ties early 50ties.
There is a slight warp but it doesn't affect the play quality. Otherwise, the record is in almost impeccable condition. There is very little interference given the age of the record.
It looks like there is some sort of staining on the first side but it doesn't seem to affect the play quality.
Pictures are considered part of the description. Sold as is.
