The "New Mexico College of Agriculture and Mechanical Arts" is the former name of what is now known as New Mexico State University (NMSU). Established in 1888, NMSU originally focused on agriculture and mechanical arts, as indicated by its original name. Over the years, it has expanded its academic offerings and now serves as a comprehensive public research university located in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
