The Door Boot Seal is an component compatible with Frigidaire front-loading washing machines. It is a flexible rubber gasket adhered in a C-shape along the perimeter of the washer opening beneath the door. The boot seal creates a water-tight barrier when the door closes, preventing leaks through small gaps.

Causes of a damaged boot seal can include general wear from repeated usage over many years. The door opening and closing hundreds of times strains the adhesive bond. Mineral buildup along the seal over time also degrades the seal. 

Symptoms of a failing boot seal consist of:

• Small puddles of water found near the base of the machine after cycles
• Slow leaks that appear below the washer overnight  
• Visible cracks, splits, or compressed areas in the rubber diminishing its integrity

This part is also compatible with Electrolux, Amana, and Kenmore units as well to maximize washer longevity.
