ReplacementRadios, one of the largest factory audio/video websites, has branched out!!   If you’ve been to our site, you know we have a HUGE selection of OEM radios and compatible accessories.  Now we’re offering a few select products here too.  Same great ReplacementRadios quality.....in a new location.

DETAILS

This is a female plug for replacing the factory radio in select 2003+ Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles with an aftermarket. (If you need the opposite version check out store for the FDW-RP24.) Wiring pigtails of approximately 6 inches are attached.

This would be used if your original plug is still intact and you don't want to cut or splice your factory wiring. The professionals use a plug like this! Don't be a hack and cut your factory plug off. That just makes it a pain to replace the radio when you go to sell the vehicle...

This was the only 24-pin plug offered by Ford in the vehicles listed, so if you've counted 24 pins on your main connector, this is the one you need. (Although not all 24-pins will be populated on our plug because aftermarket radios don't require them.)

This style of plug was used on most Ford, Lincoln and Mercury radios from 2003 and newer, in some vehicles. See APPLICATIONS below for examples of vehicles that used this plug, as well as a list of Ford radio engineering (part) numbers known to use this plug style.

This plug will have the aftermarket standard wire colors, so wire assignment is easy. (See the standard color chart in the pictures attached to this listing, as the plug packaging will not necessarily include a color chart.) This allows you to mate it to the aftermarket plug that came with your new radio and create a custom adapter. No cutting or splicing your original plug!!

In some cases, a separate power wire may need run for this plug. Ford also used a different pin (or multiple pins) for ground from time to time, so you might have to relocate a pin or run a ground to your aftermarket ground wire in some cases. Please note: this is Ford's doing, not ours.

Please note: this does not include reverse plugs for the auxiliary input or the factory subwoofer. So options in your vehicle like Sirius satellite radio, aux input plug, Audiophile, Pioneer, Shaker, etc will not be retained.

APPLICATIONS

Some radio engineering (part) numbers and vehicles known to use this plug are listed here. Other numbers are possible. If you think yours applies but you do not see it listed, please email us before purchasing.
