Excellent - Relative to its age and to the eye looks as though it was seldom worn and was cared for very well.
Very Good - Some very minor wear or signs of use. Not very noticeable to the eye and does not affect the beauty or integrity of the item
Good - Wear consistent with age and use. May show soiling, scuffs, light scratches/chips, dings, dents, or be misshapen. May be missing a stone or have a broken finding that can be replaced or repaired.
Fair - Scratched, dinged, broken, dented, misshapen. Will need significant restoration or may be used for parts or scrap.
Scrap or Recycle - Usable parts, stones, crystals for jewelry up cycling, recycling, crafting or scrap.

We do not attempt to clean, polish, repair or otherwise alter any of our vintage or antique items. Vintage or antique jewelry may show a patina consistent with age. We sell our vintage items as acquired, as is. Sterling silver may show tarnish. Tarnish is not a defect, just a naturally occurring process on silver when exposed to air. Age/era is an estimation but represented to the best of our knowledge based on provenance or acquisition time frame. Stones, gems or pearls may show naturally occurring variations in color, quality or inclusions. Natural stones may vary in shape and size.
