This is for one Corkscrew Willow Tree that has been rooted and ready to plant, approx 18 inches tall. Pot not included, will be wrapped to prevent drying out.

Curly Corkscrew Willows, Salix matsudana 'Tortuosa', are a beautiful ornamental shade tree with naturally twisted branches and leaves. They grow rapidly, 2-3 feet in a year, to a mature height of 20-30 feet, and a width of 15-30 feet. They are on the smaller side of willow trees, ideal for quick shade and privacy on a garden or terrace, and are even fantastic to use in flower arrangements.

In addition they easily grow anywhere in the USA except for the coldest parts of the midwest and the hottest areas in the South and the West Coast (Zones 4-8). Viable in partial to full sun, making corkscrew willows highly resilient and versatile in placement. Unlike other willow varieties, corkscrew willows do not have as extensive or destructive a root system. However they share a love of water and it is recommended to plant them in high moisture areas.

The size of the willows can also be managed by pruning as much as needed. The pruned curvy stalks make great decorative sticks, even the leaves spiral. The entire tree can also be kept in a pot, or bonsaied for a beautiful effect.
