Usage
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you have any doubts or questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Recommended dose for adults: 1 or 2 tablets (40-80 mg) 2-3 times a day. The maximum recommended daily dose is 6 tablets (240 mg). To avoid a bitter taste, the tablets should not be chewed. Use in Children: The use of drotaverine in children has not been evaluated in clinical trials. If you take more NO-SPA tablets than you were prescribed, contact your doctor immediately. An overdose of drotaverine can lead to cardiac arrhythmias and interference with impulse transmission that determines the heart rate, which may include complete blockade of impulse transmission in one of the branches of the cardiac output system and cardiac arrest leading to death. If you forget to take NO-SPA, do not take a double dose to make up for the missed tablet.
