Mountain Gold is an open-pollinated, heirloom tomato variety developed by Dr. Randolph Gardner at the North Carolina State Mountain Horticultural Crops Research Station and first introduced to home gardeners in the early 1990s.
Determinate vines produce smooth, slightly flattened, orange colored fruits that grow to about 14 ounces each with a flavor that is mild, sweet, and pleasantly tart.
Excellent crack and disease resistant.
