Vogue 2196 Bridal Original sewing pattern to make a 1980s style wedding or bridesmaid dress with a drop waist, petticoat, balloon sleeves and bows on the back of the skirt and the shoulders. Pattern is uncut with factory folds. Envelope shows creasing and has a tear at the top left corner. No writing or fabric store stamp.
Misses' Dress and Petticoat: Dress, floor or above ankle length, has close-fitting, shaped, lined, dropped waist bodice, inside belt, flared skirt with side front and side back seams (no side seam), shoulder and back (stiffening) bow with knot, back button/loop closing, and above elbow sleeves with elastic at cap and lower edge or long two piece sleeves with button/loop at shaped lower edge. Sleeves: stiffening at cap. A: train and contrast bodice and lower sleeves. B: purchased appliques and trim. Flared petticoat, floor or above ankle length has waistband, yokes and overskirt with ruffles. Purchased cording for loop.
