The Door Switch Assembly is an OEM replacement part for Samsung front-loading washing machines. It monitors the door and makes the washing machine only operate when the door is securely closed.
Causes of a faulty door switch assembly include normal wear of internal contacts through repetitive opening and closing stresses over many cycles. Exposure to moisture intrusion provides an opportunity for switching degradation.
Symptoms of a bad door switch include:
- The washing machine not starting despite the door being closed
- The machine stopping mid-cycle or the door locking issues
- Error codes displayed on the control panel related to the door or lock
- The door not locking securely, or the machine operating with the door open
