Large Portmeirion Botanic Garden Creamer/Pitcher/Gravy Boat LEPIDOTUM Rhododendron

This creamer/pitcher/gravy boat is in the drum style. It is in excellent, pre-owned condition and has the most recent back-stamp for the Botanic Garden line. The inside is free of utensil scratches. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. The glaze does not show crazing. Please see photos for an accurate representation of its condition. The Rhododendron creamer/pitcher/gravy boat, holds 16 ounces (2 cups) and measures 3 1/2”H x 4 1/4” W from rim to rim. Length from handle to spout tip is 7”.

This backstamp is the green oval ID mark. For Portmeirion, this mark is often used for items not in the product catalog, sales samples, or special decoration. Sometimes a flaw is seen that would cause the item to be a second in terms of quality. But, very often the item is just a specially made, unique piece that is not in the normal production catalog. Since there are no flaws, I believe that the larger size of the creamer is what is unusual/special.
