This is Louise the glass doll, made in a Colonial style by Boyd Art Glass. She is either #17, made in Zach Boyd Slag, in Nov. 1980, or #22 Olde Ivory Slag, made in April 1981. The color is a mustardy yellow and brown slag. She is marked with the B in a diamond with no lines, which was used from 1978-1983, and the number 2 next to it. The Louise dolls were first made in 1979. I suspect that the “2” indicates that she was made in the second year, which would be 1980 — but I can’t be sure, as I’ve never seen an explanation.

Louise is about 4 1/4 inches tall, 3 inches wide and 2 3/4 inches deep!  She weighs 8 ounces.

The doll is in very good condition, with no damage. There is a slight factory roughness on the brim of her hat. She does glow in black light, but not from uranium -- it's one of the other chemicals that causes an orange glow. My last photo shows her in black light. (Any purple or green you see is reflected from other nearby objects.)

Collectible 1980s yellow and brown slag glass Boyd doll, Colonial dress with bell shaped skirt, from the first series with B in a diamond mark. Could be used as a paperweight.
