Unopened/new vinyl, factory sealed, and in excellent condition. Light scuffing and corner wear as well as small opening near front bottom right where shrink has torn off in a small area. Sticker residue on shrink on front near top right. A few dents along spine. Label design can't be confirmed because it's sealed. (Notch in bottom-right.)
Divine Madness is a live recording taken from Bette Midler's concert film of the same name. The album, however, does not contain any of Midler's comedy routines and features only her musical performances from the show. Among the tracks included are Big Noise From Winnetka, from Midler's disco album Thighs and Whispers, repertoire standards like Shiver Me Timbers, Chapel of Love, Leader of The Pack and Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy along with two tracks from her movie The Rose, Stay With Me and Fire Down Below (not originally included on the soundtrack). The Divine Madness album closes with renditions of rock classics like Bruce Springsteen's E Street Shuffle, The Rolling Stones' You Can't Always Get What You Want and Bob Dylan's I Shall Be Released. Shiver Me Timbers is included on the album, but was not featured in the home video release (VHS or DVD). Footage of this songs have not been restored. The Divine Madness album like the movie itself was a commercial success, peaking at #34 on Billboard's album chart. My Mother's Eyes was released as a single and became at Top 40 hit on Billboard's Hot 100, it also reached #8 on the A/C charts.
