The hapless Inspector Gadget returns (this time with French Stewart in the role). Gadget has been put on parole and Claw has escaped from prison in order to put into action a fiendish new plan. Meanwhile, the mayor has unveiled a newer, robotic, female version of Inspector Gadget, known as G2 (Elaine Hendrix). Together the two Gadgets must team up to stop Claw, but the usual mishaps occur.
