Master Canadian Silversmith, Frank Principe has been hand crafting beautiful silver bits, buckles, and spurs since 1977. He is the owner, master designer, and producer of Principe Silver and made this beautifully engraved vintage sterling silver shank low curb bit from the early 1980's. The gorgeous engraved sterling silver is overlaid on the cheeks and a 1-1/2 inch diameter engraved sterling conch0 with a jeweler's bronze rope edge is on each side of the bit. This bit is very balanced and weighs 15 ounces. The bit measures 7-1/2 inches long with a 2-1/2 inch purchase for a 3 to one leverage ratio. The #120 low curb mouthpiece is 5 inches wide by 3/8 inch in diameter and features copper inlays under the curb where it lays on the tongue. This bit features a swept back style brown iron loose cheek. There is a FP mark identifying it as a Frank Principe bit and is located on the left inside upper shank.
