DWARF BACHELOR BUTTON "Polka Dot" MIX. aka CORNFLOWER. An introduced wildflower from Europe. This is a mix of 5 colors, blue, purple, pink, red and white. The flowers are about 2" across and the plants only get about 16" tall. An annual flower that does well in the garden or containers. Also used as a border, they make great long lasting cut flowers for fresh or dried arrangements. Easily grown from seed. The dwarf variety is also the perfect size for containers as they don't flop over under their own weight like the tall cornflowers tend too. Remove spent flowers to extend the bloom season and to increase the flower size. Dwarf Bachelor Buttons will bloom from early summer until the first frost. Plants prefer full sun in mild climates and partial shade in the hotter areas. They tolerate a wide variety of soils as long as it drains well. The mature plants are drought tolerant and pretty much carefree after established. The flowers are very attractive to bees and butterflies, but deer leave the plants alone. 500+Seeds per order.
