ABOUT THIS ISSUE: This issue inaugurates a new feature, Points West -- a column of commentary from the Los Angeles vantage point of 1 OLIN GREGORY DHNNE and his wife, JOAN DIDJON. Diinne, 35, a former Time editor, has written for the Post on such diverse subjects as baseball, race riots and the struggles of a labor organizer. Joan, a novelist (Run, Rirer), has reported from New York to Hawaii on murder, lost love, and Christmas puddings. . . . The setting for JOYCE STRANGER's Breed of Giants is the same as that of her successful first novel, The Running Foxes, which appeared in the May 7,1966 Post. Fashion designers Miss Rikki and Elisabeth Stewart are profiled here by two writers making their first appearances in the Post, ELLEN WILLIS and I PHYLLIS LEE LEVIN./Cover photo by Ron Harris.
