Tombstone Treasures by Bob Phillips (Barney Fife Impersonator) plus Two Humorous Pinbacks of Bob Phillips as Barney Fife (new in packages)

Story is that Bob Phillips, a resident of Tombstone, Arizona (yes, the real Tombstone, the one with Boot Hill the OK Corral!) was told numerous times that he resembled "Barney Fife", the comical sheriff's deputy on "The Andy Griffith Show", a role developed / played by actor Don Knotts. Mr. Phillips decided to go with it, took acting lessons and became a "Barney Fife"-type of Tombstone sheriff, entertaining tourists and townspeople alike. He had a couple of brief but amicable meetings with Mr. Knotts, who evidently was ok with Mr. Phillips' version of Barney.

Bob Phillips wrote this book as a kind of memoir, but this is the pre-edited, pre-published version, a primitive layout, with mistakes. The finished book is out there, but rare and hard to find.

Some of the photos show dates, mainly from 2002 - 2007.

I do not know any more of the background of the book and pinbacks. I found them at an estate sale. The larger pinback is signed by Bob Phillips.

Book size is 8.5 x 5.5 inches. Pins are 3 inches and 2.25 inches.

The cover of the book has some wear and tear.

I have more collectibles and other fun things. Please see my other listings.
