The Bolts' inaugural match took place at Boston Garden on April 28, 1975, drawing 8,724 spectators to witness their encounter against the Long Island Tomahawks. The Tomahawks beat the Bolts' debut by clinching a 19-17 overtime victory, marking a disappointing start for the Boston team. Unfortunately, the Bolts' ownership dissolved following the 1975 season, coinciding with the collapse of the National Lacrosse League in February 1976.
