First edition, first printing of Wait, Son, October is Near by John Bell Clayton. Hardcover with wear to dust jacket. A photograph of the author was found stapled inside the book. The photograph was developed in August of 1956. The author died in 1955, so it must have been taken close to the time of his death. On the back is written "John Bell Clayton, Jr." It has staple holes on its border and inner page where it was found has staple holes.
