This is for a pair antique Victorian trade card circa 1880 advertising the an event at the Worcester Skating Rink on Foster Street.
The event sponsored is "GRAND GALA NIGHT - BY SPECIAL REQUEST OF THE PATRONS OF THE RINK, THE MANAGEMENT HAVE
ARRANGED FOR A GRAND FANCY DRESS COSTUME AND SKATING CARNIVAL."  There follows details about the event and the date
minus the year.  One of the cards features a young Russian lad in costume as a "Russie" and the other features a young girl in flowery
costume with her doll.  Neither card has any creases but there are some "smudge" marks on the front of the girl.  Backs of cards have
some minor wear and slight discoloration from age.  Other than that these are great cards.  The Russie card measures approx. 4-1/4" x 3" and the girl measures 4-1/4" x 2-3/4".
