Offered is this Pair of Antique Chinese Carved Lacquered Panels. The panels  depict traditional Chinese scenes with backgrounds of trees, foliage and in one a structure of some kind. Each panel is framed in its original wood frame and each frame is supported with a newer wire and anchor setup, as the older hangers on top degraded over time. We acquired these from an estate almost 40 years ago and we are now downsizing. They have been well cared for over the last 40 years, however, when we first got them there was some chipping, cracking and tape residue around the edges that was present  (see images). One panel still retains its original partial sticker on the back with the word "Shanghai" on it with some other words as well (see images).  Each panel measures 46 1/2" tall, 14 1/2" wide and is approx. 1" deep. We have enjoyed these for many years and are happy to offer them to a new owner!
