Cool vintage 2pc vintage retired Breyer horse set! The Yellow Mount was one of the most influential Paint Horse sires in APHA history,
and was also one of Breyer's earliest portrait models, first released
in 1970. His accolades were numerous and in a variety of disciplines. The iconic Family Arabian Mare was made in glossy Alabaster from
1961-1973. She wears a white coat with grey mane and tail, and grey
feet. Some were made with muzzle and inner ear pinking, some without.
#1 horse Pride (Model #8) a cross between glossy & matte finish (hard to determine as it's both in the light) alabaster, grey mane/tail, grey, nose and inner ears. (1961-1973)
# 2 horse "Yellow Mount," Famous Paint Horse (Model #51) with a lovely dark brown chestnut to medium reddish red
chestnut overo with extensive bald face, left hind stocking. (1970-1987)
We
are not authorities in these horses as they were purchased at a local
estate sale of a collector, but from our research think we
are pretty close, so please looks at pics closely. Please check out our shop as we have 4 sets of Breyer horses available ready to be loved! A fun set for any little cowboy or cowgirl for hours
of play!
Horses are in excellent vintage condition! Usual pre-loved light surface scuff wear here and there, Pride horse has ding to tip of left ear from years of play & standing guard on the shelf, but nothing that distracts! Please see enlarged pics for best description and details.
