Offered for your consideration here is what is known as a Gohonzon Buddhist scroll used in worship in various Nichiren Buddhist Sects. All the Nichiren sects of this Buddhism venerate the founder 13th century priest known as Nichiren Daishonin (Nichiren Shonin in some sects).

They focus their prayers towards the scroll and chant the words Nam Myoho Renge Kyo (some sects say Namu followed by Myoho Renge Kyo).

This scroll is a miniature version of the Gohonzon known as OMAMORI or TALISMAN used by practitioners of the Minobu Sect of Buddhism otherwise known as Nichiren Shu.

The miniature Gohonzon scroll is sealed into a clear plastic cover and is attached to a 30 inch .925 silver chain. The Gohonzon characters are gold colored kanjin characters pressed onto a thin metal black colored base.

We have acquired these examples of Omamori Talisman Gohonzon from our source in Japan.

The mandala measures approx: 13/16 inches by 1 5/8 inches.

These are very useful, especially if your a practitioner and travel away from home...........NOW, you can practice anywhere you go and take your Gohonzon with you!
