From Steve Tobin’s online bio:

Steve Tobin is a conceptual American artist working in steel and bronze with a history in glass and ceramics. He is best known for his monumental public sculpture installations, including the Trinity Root, which was executed after 9/11 and placed at St. Paul's Chapel in Lower Manhattan.

Over the last forty years, Tobin has mastered highly innovative techniques, applying his knowledge of science to art making. Merging scientific methods with industrial processes and recycled materials, his sculpture works defy time, gravity, and chemistry while channeling the forces of nature.

Tobin's sculptures are exhibited in museums across the world from the United States to

Europe and Asia. His works have been featured in numerous media and press

publications including, CNN, Art in America, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Sculpture Magazine.

Tobin’s art studios are located in Quakertown, Pennsylvania.

He was born 1957, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

This is one of his older bronze high heel shoe designs. It weighs in at 10 lbs and stands 5 inches tall, 8.25 inches long and 3 inches wide. We interpret it to be a pineapple inside the shoe - but don’t worry - the pineapple is bronze as well! Please note there are felt pads on bottom from previous owner. We have left them as they go provide protection for surfaces.

This unique piece of art would stand out beautifully in any boutique shoe or clothing shop or would be a wonderful addition for any shoe collector.

Will ship USPS with tracking to winning buyer. Seller will require a Signature upon delivery by the buyer which seller will pay for.

If you have read this far, we have a second Steve Tobin bronze shoe - even heavier than this one! Always happy to discount if someone wants both.
